Winner of the prestigious CMA Cleveland Quartet Award, the Philadelphia-based Jasper String Quartet has been hailed as “sonically delightful and expressively compelling” (The Strad) and “powerful” (The New York Times). Jasper Quartet’s debut at Treetops CMS includes Beethoven’s late string quartet Op. 130 in its original version, with the Grand Fugue as last movement, and some of the most thrilling music being written in America today, with works by Missy Mazzoli—“Brooklyn’s post-millennial Mozart” (Time Out New York)—and Caroline Shaw, the youngest ever composer to win the coveted Pulitzer Prize for Music.
